Busy September

September is going to be a busy month for the club, so here’s a quick reminder of what’s going on:

Saturday 10th September – Findon Sheep Fair and Village Festival, at Nepcote Green, Findon, BN14 0SZ.  The show starts at 10:30am and has free entry, please note £4 to park.  There are craft stalls, sheep displays, sheep judging, a funfair, food stalls and many other displays on the green.  The fair is a great day out with lots going on, so please join us.  More details about the fair can be found at http://www.findonsheepfair.co.uk/

Saturday 17th September – West Grinstead Ploughing Match and Show.  This year the show will be held at Aglands Farm in Cowfold and starts at 9.30am.  There will be 12 different ploughing classes, Hedge Laying, Welding Competitions and a Livestock Show which includes a range of Cattle and Sheep classes, plus much more.  The show has something for everyone, so please come and see us at our stall and have a great day out!  More details about the show can be found at http://www.westgrinsteadploughing.co.uk/

Just a reminder, all members are entitled to sell there smallholding wares at the shows (just 10% club commission), please contact Andrea for detailed information.

Wednesday 28th September – Monthly meeting.  Our speaker Peter Froggat will be giving us a talk all about sheep.  Peter regularly runs courses on sheep, so this is going to be very informative.

Hope to see lots of members during this exciting month!

Brinsbury Show & Country Fayre

The show season has started and we had a wonderful day at Brinsbury College back in May. It was my first show with the club and it was great fun!  The weather could have been better, but that didn’t dampen the spirits.  Lots of club members sold their products and delicious food and many more members popped in to say hello!

Here are a selection of photos from the day:
